AIS-SART ? position live on chart plotter/PC/laptop:
EasyRescue transmits the position of a liferaft/lifeboat in distress directly to all AIS receivers in range.


Functionality:
The EasyRescue is an AIS SART. With an integrated GPS, it sends an emergency AIS-SART phrase that triggers an alarm on AIS-compatible chart plotters/PCs in range, along with the coordinates of the rescue target. For example also to WinGPS 5, which will show a pop-up image and sound of the SART-object.
The GPS is of the new generation and the VHF AIS transmitter repeats the message and position several times per minute. This allows all vessels within range to assist in the rescue if they have an AIS receiver or transponder.

What else do I need?
Apart from an AIS receiver or transponder connected to a PC/laptop or chart plotter, for example with WinGPS 5, you don't need anything.
The EasyRescue is used on life raft / lifeboat. To operate just slide the safety cover off (releasing the coiled antenna) and press ON. A test button allows regular test of GPS function, battery state etc.

The EasyRescue makes the search and rescue missions easy by using the capabilities of the Automatic Identification System (AIS). Within this system it is possible to send out safety messages. The EasyRescue uses and does so in a way that the EasyRescue behaves like an AIS based S.A.R.T. (Search and rescue transponder).
