Ralph Morris
CRUISING ANGLESEY AND ADJOINING WATERS
From Liverpool to Aberdovey
Ralph Morris's cruising guide to the Isle of Anglesey and the North Wales coast was first published more than 30 years ago. At the time, it covered little more than the island itself. Over the years, this pilot has been expanded until it now offers information on tides, hazards, ports and anchorages and harbour plans from Liverpool (marina) to Aberdovey (the same waters covered by Imray's 2700 chart package). Corrections will be issued as they are received and can be accessed via the link below. This fully updated ninth edition was published in July 2016 and is presented in the same format as its predecessors - spiral-bound for easy cockpit use, colour, illustrations, aerial photos (courtesy of Google Earth) and nearly 100 original photographs. Ralph Morris learned his way around Anglesey - in a small boat with a single map and compass that one day chose to fail in the fog. However, that is not the only thing that prompted the decision to write this pilot. The main driver was the increasing scarcity of Henry Glazebrook's 'Anglesey & North Wales Coast Pilot', which got him out of many tight corners. The detail and precision of Glazebrook's pilot is legendary and with this guide the author hopes to preserve the accessibility of these waters.
