In addition to digital, we recommend also having paper charts on board:

-The Delius Klasing paper charts now also include a digital chart in DKW format, which can be used free of charge for 1 year.

-The paper charts from Imray provide a nice backup for all your trips on our DKW charts from Imray, so you have the same chart image in front of you during the trips.

-The paper charts from NV-Verlag also contain a digital chart. You can also load this into WinGPS 6 for Windows and use it for navigation.

-A pilot is indispensable on board. All marinas are described in detail as well as all port information, shopping, and dining facilities.

The DKW The Netherlands is developed for sailors, motorboaters and commercial shipping. With its regular updates this chart is the most up-to-date chart for the inland waterways of the Netherlands.

The DKW Vaarkaart Nederland is great for use with the paid versions of WinGPS. Using the waterway network makes it is very easy to plan routes on the Dutch inland waters.

Chart coverage
All the inland waters of the Northern Netherlands are included in this chart. The margin of this chart to the Southern Netherlands chart is at the height of Schiphol. There are 2 extra detail charts included: the Frisian Lakes and the Amsterdam waterways. This chart connects to a.o. the DKW 1800 series, Vaarkaart South Netherlands and Northwest Germany.

Stentec releases this chart annually based on the 'Top10NL-data' from the Dutch topographic services, Inland ENC charts, the Dutch Hydrographic services and user based remarks. This chart contains a large level of detail: with 2 meters per pixel, you can zoom up to the dock at your home port.

Waypoints
All the relevant information is shown on the chart as waypoints. Totally there are 24.197 waypoints for a.o. buoys, marinas, Marrekrite moorings, diesel tank stations, water camp sites, VHF channels, charging stations electric boating and junctions of ‘Varen Doe Je Samen’. Also included are waterway signs and VIN berths for commercial shipping.
